4. Sending Messages

  • Sending a Message: Click on a channel or direct message. Type your message in the message box and press Enter to send.
  • Formatting Messages: Use formatting tools (bold, italics, strikethrough) by highlighting text and selecting the format option or using markdown syntax:
    • *bold* for bold
    • _italic_ for italics
    • ~strikethrough~ for strikethrough
  • Adding Reactions: Hover over a message and click the emoji icon to add a reaction.

  • Starting a Thread: Click the "Start a thread" icon on any message. This keeps related conversations organized.
  • Replying to a Thread: Type your reply in the thread pane that opens on the right.

  • Mentioning Users: Type @ followed by the username to mention someone. They will receive a notification.
